Fungicide seed treatment Vibrance announced by Syngenta

Syngenta is launching a new seed treatment fungicide called Vibrance that aids root health in plants. While the first registration is in Argentina, Syngenta expects registration across all major crops worldwide in the next couple of years.

Vibrance is based on the new active ingredient sedaxane. Syngenta reports that Vibrance, “which has been tailored specifically for the seed treatment market, protects major crops against a wide range of diseases carried in the soil and air as well as against seed infection. Its properties also result in outstanding protection of the entire plant root system.”

Syngenta also reports that recent field results show Vibrance enhanced the root health of plants, which leads to better crop performance under a wide range of conditions. “Research is increasingly focusing on the ability of roots to efficiently use water and nutrients as a key to further improvements in crop productivity,” says John Atkin, Syngenta COO. He adds that Vibrance is a product for integrated root health solutions and will help build Syngenta’s seed treatment business.

Vibrance will be combined with other Syngenta Seed Care compounds as a complete solution for cereals.
