Remote-control auger

Easily move augers with a new remote control system called the Swinger. The two-wheel device attaches to either a 10- or 13-in. tube with just four bolts and two worm-gear clamps. Power is supplied by a 110-volt, 1Ž4-hp gear motor.

Inventor of the Swinger, Gary Rupert, says the device is solidly built and weighs more than 100 lbs. It also is simply designed with a forward/reverse toggle switch on the mail electrical box and a rocker switch on the handheld remote. A hydraulic jack transfers the weight to the wheels to eliminate wheel slippage.

Price of a Swinger with one remote is $1,380. Extra remotes are $80 each. For more information, contact Gary Ruppert, Dept. FIN, 1809 280th Ave., Currie, NM 56123, 507/763-3490,
