Max Armstrong talks about heavy rains coming, harvest progress, an execution in South Dakota and questionable U.S. Air Force spending.

There's heavy rain on the horizon, with flash flooding possible, for parts of our region. Parts of the Ohio valley could see 3-5 inches of rain.

There's more than a third of the U.S. corn crop that's unharvested, and nearly one-third of the soybeans.

There was an execution in South Dakota last night; the first in six years. He was killed by lethal injection, for the murder of a prison guard several years prior.

The U.S. Air Force continues to face questions about spending, particularly on coffee pots that can be reheated on the planes. The pot can cost more than $1,200.
