Farm Industry News knows this is the busiest time of the year for farmers as the fall harvest is well under way. Have you been taking photos of your favorite time of the year? We want to see them!
Farm Industry News announces its first-ever photo contest to celebrate the 2011 fall harvest. From now until Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at 5 p.m., we will accept photos of your fall harvest experiences.
Photos can be submitted in one of two ways. Email the photo as an attachment to [email protected] with the subject line “2011 fall harvest photo contest,” or post the photo to the Farm Industry News Facebook wall (see instructions below). The entry limit is three photos per individual.
Instructions for posting a photo to the Farm Industry News Facebook wall:
Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account.
Step 2: Search for Farm Industry News and click the “Like” button once you are on the Farm Industry News Facebook page.
Step 3: At the top of the Farm Industry News Facebook wall, click on share photo. Select the photo from your computer, and in the “Say something about this photo…” field, type “2011 Farm Industry News fall harvest photo contest entry.”
Farm Industry News editors will select the group of finalists from the total entries and publish the finalists as a Facebook photo album on Oct. 31, 2011. Facebook fans will have until Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at noon to vote for their favorite photo by “liking” it. The photo with the most “likes” will receive The Art of the John Deere Tractor by Lee Klancher, a beautiful collection of 250 images celebrating the history of John Deere tractors, priced at $35 retail. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. Contest open to legal residents of 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 or older. To enter, send in your best “2011 Farm Industry news fall harvest” photo with first name of photo subject, along with mailing address to: [email protected] All entries must be received by Friday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. Void outside of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and where prohibited by law.
Remember, if you email us your photo, you still have to “like” Farm Industry News on Facebook to vote.
The winner will be announced by 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011.
