2011 Agritechnica show in Hannover, Germany Expecting more than 350,000 visitors

The 2011 Agritechnica show underway in Hannover, Germany, is expected to attract record crowds — more than 350,000 visitors. About 25 percent are from foreign countries, including the United States. More than 2,700 exhibitors show equipment ranging from tractors and combines to massive plows and electronic guidance systems.

For the major manufacturers, this show is a requirement. John Deere officials say the show is the most important agricultural show in the world for them. The large number of international visitors and the focus on innovations make it particularly attractive.

John Deere has an impressive exhibit, one of the largest at Agritechnica, to display the 100 new products the company recently introduced.
