The 918M wheel loader from Caterpillar is the baby brother to the full-size line of machines. Introduced in 2016, the machine is already popular in ag, but new features are adding more value. Note the higher reach with the High Lift option, so you can fill bigger feed trucks.
SUPER COUPLER: Caterpillar’s Fusion Coupler uses an innovative wedge system to connect attachments to wheel loaders. For 2019, the 918M gets that system, allowing use of attachments for the full range of the company’s wheel loaders — from the 918M to the 980. The wedges are the red portion of the photo.
The optional 20.5 R25 tires for the Caterpillar 918M wheel loader not only provide longer wear, but also a better ride during operation. The optional larger tires provide enhanced performance for the machine.
New to the side-by-side market, Caterpillar just launched its first machines in 2018. The next level is a crew model; it comes in gas and diesel versions that all bear the Cat name. These clean-sheet design machines are built by Textron Off Road.
Side-by-side machines are versatile around the farm. Add a five-passenger capacity, and there’s added value in many situations. The new Cat Crew utility vehicles offer plenty of storage space and a steel bed.
