2. Bestway AutoGlide Boom Height Control System

AutoGlide uses the existing electric-over-hydraulic controls so there are no extra hydraulic components to add to the sprayer. The new system comes in 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-sensor models to fit booms up to 100 ft. Suggested retail prices: 2-sensor, $4,675; 3-sensor, $5,657; 4-sensor, $6,900; and 5-sensor, $7,900.
Monsanto's recent purchase of Precision Planting has led to the development of a new system to variably plant hybrids called FieldScripts. FieldScripts uses Monsanto's seed data to identify the optimum hybrids for soil type and environment and then uses Precision Planting's 20/20 SeedSense monitor to accurately and variablly plant the seed. Shown in this photo is the Precision Planting system on a John Deere planter. Total cost to retrofit this planter with the new system will cost about $1,000/row.
