Weary of snow, northern Corn Belt farmers headed to Owatonna, Minn., last week to stroll through the indoor North American Farm and Power Show. The show featured plenty of big equipment geared for corn and soybean production.

1. Challenger MT765D tractor
The MT765D Challenger tractor displayed is equipped with the AGCO Power 8.4L Tier 4i engine with maximum 386 hp. The AGCO Power engine was made in Finland.

2. Challenger MT700D Mobil-Trac system
New, clear sight gauges ease maintenance by providing a simple way to check lubrication levels. The MT700D Mobil-Trac system is equipped with highly durable poly mid-wheels with polyurethane working surfaces. 3. AGCO's e3 emission technology
The AGCO Power engine on the Challenger MT700D tractor with e3 Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emission technology sets new standards in environmental efficiency and engine performance. 4. Challenger MT700D fingertip controls

5. Precision Planting's 20/20 SeedSense with FieldView
Precision Plantings' 20/20 SeedSense monitor with FieldView now allows growers to use an iPad as a scouting tool. The iPad connects to a SeedSense Monitor and then displays FieldView in real time through Google Earth on high-resolution maps. All information is saved on the iPad so growers may take it to the field when scouting. Field notes, photos, videos and a complete history of seed performance may be stored on it. 6. Kubota M135GX tractor
The Kubota M Series M135GX tractor features a new 135-hp, 4-cyl., turbocharged diesel engine. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a diesel particulate filter muffler are used to meet Tier 4i emission standards. 7. BluJet Galaxy strip-till unit
Thurston Manufacturing displayed its popular Blu-Jet Galaxy strip-till implement. The unit may be set for narrow and wide row spacings in addition to 30-in. row spacings. It is a 3-pt.-mounted toolbar with a 7- by 7-in. heavy-duty mainframe that ranges in width from 12 ft. (4 rows, 36-in. spacing) to 45 ft. (18 rows, 30-in. spacing). The strip-till implement is designed to inject liquid, dry, anhydrous ammonia or dual placement fertilizer solutions during tillage.

8. Manitou MLT625 telehandler
The MLT 625 telehandler from Manitou offers 5,500 lbs. of lift and a 19-ft. 3-in. reach. Its compact size allows access to low overhead building and barns. A 75-hp Kubota intercooled diesel engine powers the handler. It comes with a fully enclosed cab with heater and air conditioning.

9. Kuhn ProPush manure box spreader
The 2000 Series ProPush box spreader from Kuhn is designed with simplicity in mind. The hydraulic push-type design means no apron chains, fewer moving parts and faster unloading. The ProPush spreaders will haul and spread solid materials from dairies and feedlots, including gutter manure, yard scrapings, bedding pack and feedlot manure.
The spreaders feature an all-steel welded box construction, solid poly floor and sides, piggyback hydraulic cylinders and removable beaters.
