Traxter updatedThe Canadian ATV manufacturer Bombardier used the Sunbelt show to introduce its Traxter XL, designed to meet the needs of ATV riders who require heavy utility work. The updated all-terrain vehicle boasts a longer wheelbase and a suspension system that is different from that of the regular Traxter. It includes a new box-bed with dumping capacity and a two-stage, double-shock rear suspension to carry 600 lbs. of payload. Most utility machines are sit-in models, but the Traxter XL still features the step-through advantage of Bombardier Traxters. According to the company, ATV riders will find the Traxter XL fun to ride, but equipped to make it a hard-working farm vehicle. Tractors from India Mahindra is offering two new tractor models made in India for the U.S. market. Both tractors are designed for small farm chores. The 6000 model is the company's most powerful tractor with a 4-cyl., 56 1/2-hp engine. It features partial synchromesh transmission, power steering and dual-stage clutch. Retail price: $16,250. Italian tractors Landini USA offers three new tractor lines geared to crop farming. All lines are equipped with Perkins engines. The 4-wd Ghibli tractors range in size from 80 to 95 hp and have mechanical gearboxes. They retail for $42,000 to $46,000. The medium line, called Mythos, consists of three tractors from 90 to 107 hp. Equipped with power shuttle, 4-speed PTO and 4-wd, the tractors cost from $50,500 to $57,000. Deluxe chore work Itc International is marketing a new utility tractor manufactured in South Korea. The T431 Commander has a 43-hp, 4-cyl. Kubota engine. Speedy hay raking Growers can "make hay" quickly with the new Swadro 1401 twin rotary rake from Krone. The rake offers the flexibility to rake 45 ft. of hay from two passes into one or two windrows, depending on the amount of hay, and it may be operated at high speeds. Boosted bales [C] Pump poor-quality hay bales full of a molasses-based feed supplement and watch your cattle chow down. The HaySaver lets you pierce a bale with five spears and inject a supplement into it. Three supplements all containing 32% protein and essential nutrients for calves and cattle are available.
The HaySaver mounts on a front-end loader or a 3-pt. hitch on the rear of a tractor. It comes equipped with either a 30- or 50-gal. tank and a pump that mixes the supplement in the tank. The supplement is injected in a bale through the five spears, creating even distribution. The spears are sturdy enough so you can transport the bale while injecting it.

The Fault Finder from Speedrite and manufactured by Tru-Test lets you find any faults on an electric fence.
