And don't miss Part 2 of our Agritechnica preview.
With nearly 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries, Agritechnica is truly a massive display of agricultural machinery and equipment. Held every other year at the expansive Exhibition Grounds in Hannover, Germany, this year’s show is expected to host more than 400,000 visitors from around the world – each catching a glimpse of the latest and greatest in products and services for the world agricultural market.
As an agricultural journalist, it is a gold mine of information from every conceivable area and in every size…from the latest in sprayer nozzle technology to rollouts of the newest high-horsepower tractors. And Farm Industry News will be on the ground at the event bringing you more information every day of the show and in the weeks after.
Yet covering such a massive event can be a significant challenge. There are more than 25 huge buildings on the sprawling exhibition grounds. And while the preview days of November 8 and 9, 2015, allow for some elbow room, once the crowds really start arriving it is a mass of humanity seeking to crowd around every display for the duration of the show, which wraps up on November 14.
To prepare for the show, Agritechnica organizers recently held a two-day preview event, in which companies could come in and provide the worldwide press a briefing of what will be on display. As the only U.S. journalist in attendance, I was able to get a first peek at some of the great innovations we will see in November. This is but a small sample of what will be on display in Germany. This is the first of two galleries we will share from the event. It gives you a taste of what you'll see more of from the actual show in November.
Check out this gallery for the first part of a two-part gallery. Part two will appear on Oct. 1.
