Kubota Tractor Corporation is rolling out the latest of its M-Series machines - the M6S-111 diesel tractor - designed as an entry level machine. The company calls the machine the "ideal solution for cattle producers seeking a single tractor suited for the full range of cattle and hay operations." The tractor has a tech-driven Kubota engine matched with transmissions featuring the company's Swing Shift feature. This provides easy shifting from the operator station. The M6S is offered in several versions including the four-wheel drive M6S-111SHDC and M6S-111DSC and the two-wheel drive M6S-111SHC. The M6S-111 replaces the M108S in the series. The tractor features 114 engine hp and can power a complete line of Kubota disk mowers, hay tedders, rakes and BV-series balers. Learn more at Kubota.com.

A new rugged Android tablet
With more web-enabled ag programs in the field, farmers need to have access to their data. Challenge is that many tablets are not designed to take the conditions that agriculture can dish out. Juniper Systems, a Utah-based company, has launched the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet running Android 5.1. This handheld aims to provide a solution for those who want an Android tablet, but worry about its survival in the real world. This Android tabled features the same IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, long-lasting battery life and 7-inch display as you'd find on the company's Mesa 2 running Windows 10. The tablet can be tricked out with a range of optional features. If a rugged tablet is the right thing for your farm, just visit junipersys.com for more information.
Protect your hearing with these high-end products
While newer equipment is getting quieter, chances are you're still risking your hearing with everyday work around machines. Etymotic has a safety line of earplugs and earphones (for listening to music) that reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus. Used for years by musicians and others exposed to high sound levels, these products are not being highlighted for farmers. Etymotic's HD Safety earplugs are low-cost plugs that reduce sound levels while preserving clarity instead of muffling sound. The earplugs are available in two sizes to fit most ears. The HD15 Earphones will actually let you hear naturally when sound levels are safe, but react to reduce loud sounds and protect hearing. Learn more about the line at etymotic.com.
Patents allowed for N-stabilization products
Eco Agro Resources has announced it has received three patents for its latest proprietary technology. These patent allowances are the first of more than 15 patents currently in process for new ag products developed by the company. The allowed patents protect hundreds of possible combinations of active ingredients used to stabilize fertilizer. These products offer new capabilities and opportunities to the efficiency fertilizer market. With these patents a combination of widely proven urease inhibitors combined with the most-used nitrification inhibitors can be applied directly into fertilizer. Learn more at ecoagro.com.
