Blu-Jet offers the AT4600 liquid applicator, featuring all-terrain, JetStream injection toolbars. A heavy-duty, seven-section, front-mount folding toolbar provides strength and flexibility in uneven fields. The high-capacity, 1,775-gal. tank has a cone bottom for complete cleanout. Powerful Super 1200 coulters provide a maximum 1,200-lb. down-pressure, with 30° swivel and 20-in. blades. The suggested list price for a 1,775-gal. tank, high flotation, radial tires, John Blue pump and the new JetStream injectors is $43,600. Circle 204.
Blu-Jet also introduces the LandTracker 9400. The multiple-use implement caddy has two independently controlled 3-pt. hitches that allow for a multitude of combination passes through the field. Growers can customize the 9400 with fertilizer options like ground-driven pumps, 1,000-gal. tanks and an ammonia wagon hitch. The LT9400 12R30 with a heavy-duty, LandTracker carrier, 12-row strip-till folding toolbar, 1,000-gal. tank and John Blue pump and drive has a suggested list price of $48,500 for the total system. The new White model 8831 Central Fill System (CFS) planter has a unique new frame design that minimizes the amount of time spent folding and transporting the unit down the road. A narrow transport width of 12 ft. 11 in. and a 33-in. clearance from the row unit to the ground helps when the planter is being moved between fields. A reduced hitch weight provides a tight turning radius in the transport position.
The planter is designed for planting corn, soybean, milo, popcorn and wheat and has a 90-bu. capacity, with two 45-bu., low-profile, translucent polyethylene hoppers. The model 8831 CFS is set up for 31-row, 15-in. spacing or lock up split rows for 16-row, 30-in. spacing.
Case IH introduces the five-shank 530C and seven-shank 730C ecolo-tiger primary tillage systems designed to break up compaction and provide efficient residue management.
Case IH says it has made changes on the 30C series from front to back to create a new ecolo-tiger disk ripper design. Disc blades were expanded to a 24-in. diameter. A new spring pack was included on the disk frame assembly to increase the down force and cutting ability. Additional component clearance means increased residue flow throughout the length of the ecolo-tiger 30C series equipment. The disk leveler arms were expanded, and the leveler cylinder was moved to the side of the tube.
Beginning dealer list prices start at $28,000 to $47,000. Contact Case IH, Dept. FIN, 700 State St., Racine, WI 53404, 262/636-6011, visit www.caseih.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 207.
BULK SEED TRAILER
The EasiLoad seed system uses bulk seed boxes mounted on a low-profile trailer unit to help the operator transfer seed to the planter box without hopping off the tractor and spending time emptying seed bags. The new seed systems come with two, three or four boxes on a unit. A 5.5- to 9.5-hp Honda engine powers the unit, allowing quick seed delivery to the planter box. A three-stage telescoping tube, with a simple, push-button control, is capable of unloading seed in minutes.
SEED RUNNER TENDER
The new Unverferth model 3500 seed runner tender fills itself. A cupped and cleated, 6-in. tube conveyor gently carries seed at speeds up to 12 bu./min. The dual-compartment unit delivers 350 50-lb. seed units directly to the planter or drill by handling 140 bu./side. The 18-ft. steel tube with telescoping downspout is designed to fill the far corners of the largest planters and drills.
Test grain for moisture, temperature and test weight in the field or at the bin with the GAC 500 XT tester from Dickey-john Corporation. The GAC 500 XT works for a variety of grains and stores up to 16 calibrations. Additional calibrations can be downloaded from the Dickey-john Web site, which lists more than 450 grain and product calibrations. The unit can be powered with a 110/220v power supply, DC converter or cigarette lighter.
The 9700 Conservation Tillage Specialist (CTS) from Salford Farm Machinery is equipped with a unique wide sweep feature for complete ground shattering. The 9700 CTS offers working depth flexibility with 4- to 14-in. depths. Disc gangs have independent depth control. The equipment is covered by a three-year, limited warranty.
A typical 9700 CTS would have a list price of $2,100/ft. of working width. Contact Salford Farm Machinery Ltd., Dept. FIN, 364018 McBeth Rd., Salford, Ontario, Canada N0J 1W0, 519/485-1293, visit www.salfordmachine.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 211.
The new Balzer 6750 Express features in-tank agitation, level indicators and 30-in. fill ports. A long tongue and PTO and 6-in. solid spindles are also part of the package.
JM Innovations Inc. and Carbo-Tech America introduce the Carbo-Till system, a crop-management method that includes tillage and nutrient placement in one easy pass. Self-contained dual tanks contain nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The system places fertilizer directly in the plant root zone rather than over the whole field. This precision nutrient placement rather than a broadcast application results in lower fertilizer cost.
Prices start at $30,000. Carbo-Tech America developed its products for strip-till and root zone tillage. Contact Mark Beard for fertility details at Carbo-Tech America, Dept. FIN, 3514 W. Hook Land Pride's model SC2660 skid-steer rotary cutter to a skid steer and start mowing. The new cutter is designed to attach to skid steers having 1,500 to 3,000 psi operating pressure and hydraulic flow rates in the ranges of 11 to 15, 15 to 21, or 18 to 27 gpm.
The SC2660 features a 60-in. cutting width and a cutting height ranging from 1.5 to 18 in. A single, front-mounted pivoting gauge wheel with a laminated tire is standard equipment to control the minimum preset cutting height. The standard universal skid-steer floating hitch mounting plate allows for quick attachment. Four-corner skid shoes keep the cutter from bottoming out. A single-row front chain guard and a double-row rear chain guard protect against thrown objects. A lift-limit chain ensures the cutting deck is not accidentally raised above 18 in. during operation.
Landluvr Systems offers rubber track undercarriages for pulled equipment such as auger carts, sprayers, spreaders, dump boxes and planters. The primary goal in the new design is to keep even weight distribution on each wheel at all times, even in rough terrain. Landluvr wheels pivot both front to back and side to side, thus keeping equal pressure on both sides of the guide blocks. This assists in belt tracking and prevents high-pressure points that damage belts over time. When a Landluvr track runs over an obstacle, the main cross axle only rises a fraction of the height of the obstacle. The design also uses air springs to maintain tension on the belt. All pivot areas have long-wearing and replaceable bushings that do not require greasing. Tracks are available with 12, 16 and 24 rollers, using belt widths from 14 to 36 in.
List price for a complete 12-roller system is $27,000. Contact Lyn Rosenboom, Landluvr Systems, Dept. FIN, 841 E. 3000N Rd., Clifton, IL 60927, 815/694-3141, visit www.landluvr.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 216.
